...or the Champs (?) Sporting goods store on 42nd St & 8th Ave (next to the AMC movie theatre on the southside of the street. Downstairs, they have a number of "janitorial" type clothages...

If you're willing to take a D-train ride, if you walk down Fordham Road toward the University and the Metro North Station, there are many many many cheap uniform stores, with a very helpful and understanding staff.

There is a uniform store on 23rd between 2nd & 3rd, I believe. And I can't remember the name of it. I am not much help. Or am I?
