Character Mask to Clown--with Deborah Kaufmann
Inspired by the teaching of Richard Pochinko
A multi-disciplinary way for any artist to make direct connection to aspects of his/her true self, for devising material and performance. In the spirit of playfulness we will face the six directions of self: North, West, South, East, Above and Below, by painting, sculpting masks with clay, dancing, singing, character investigation and writing. All six masks are combined to create a persona that is unique, with a deeply personal mythology and imagined environment.
For artists in all disciplines and the seriously curious.
