Camcorder repair

Can anyone recommend a good camcorder repair shop in Manhattan or Brooklyn?

I have no experience getting anything repaired there, but B&H Photo Video is a monster of an A/V store. They might be able to help you.

Unfortunately they don't do repairs, they just direct you to the manufacturer. I could take that route, I just don't want to have to wait a month to get it fixed and sent back to me.

I tried a sketchy little place in China town - they said they'd fix it for $200 or buy it for $75 for it to use as parts. It doesn't seem like there are many reputable places doing electronics repair anymore.

I guess electronics just aren't repaired locally any more.
