Annoucing the 2001 CageMatch Championships

This tournament will take place over two weeks in May 2001. Each individual match will work like a normal CageMatch with two teams competing for 25 minutes each and the audience deciding the winner. The winner will move on to the next round of competition, culminating in the Championship on May 12th, 2001.

Here is the schedule of events. The number in the parenthesis is the "rank" of the team based first on overall win/loss record. Ties are broken using the teams lifetime vote totals.

Round 1 - Quarterfinals:

Thursday, May 3rd, 11 pm - Dr. Awesome (3) vs. Fire Hot Burn! (6)
Friday, May 4th, 8 pm - Neutrino (1) vs. Ice-Nine (8)
Friday, May 4th, 10 pm - Mother (2) vs. Team C.H.U.D (7)
Saturday, May 5th, 8 pm - Respecto Montalban (4) vs. Monkey Dick (5)


Round 2 - Semi-finals:

Saturday, May 5th, 10 pm - Winners of Dr. Awesome vs. Fire Hot Burn! and Team C.H.U.D./Mother matches
Thursday, May 10th, 11pm - Winners of Neutrino/Ice-Nine and Monkey Dick/Respecto Montalban matches


Round 3 - Finals:

Saturday, May 12th, 8 pm
