When I type a PM over 1,000 characters, the error message does not display how many characters my message came out to be. The message looks as if it should; it says, "( characters)" ...

Thanks. I reported it to vbulletin.

The explosion smiley aligns itself with the top of the line of text, rather than the bottom.

I think it looks funny. I don't think it used to be that way. Is there anything to do? :exp:

I don't think that is fixable.

Oh, I see why. It's odd; that smiley DOUBLED in size, I believe. There is all this blankspace at the top of the .gif.

If I found a smaller version of this smiley, would you be capable of swapping (if you wanted to)?

Or wait, the code is here.

Is there a way in configuring the HTML for smilies to this, using the align attribute?

<img src="images/smilies/detonate.gif" border="0" align="bottom" alt="" title="explode" />

The smiley was always that size. It didn't change and as for the HTML, I think it has to do with it being inside a <div> tag, and that can't change.

I think the templates here are designed for the latest versions of browsers, they may not be fully compatible with IE 5.1 for the mac. I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm not sure if it's something I can fix.
There are the same problems in IE 5.2 for Mac OS 10.3.

Is it just me, or did the "always will be black" IRC change to some snowy template? I don't remember switching templates, but perhaps I did by accident. I'm not sure where the templates are stored.

You can switch to classic colors via any page on the screen. The option box is at the bottom left of the page.

Just happened again.
For about 20 minutes, I couldn't even get the "server is busy message", it just timed out on me altogether.

Hey Kevin-

I was trying to create a new username for The Locals, and two weird things happened while going through the registration process.

1. I was asked my birthday, but was only given a drop-down box for month and an entry field for year, with a blank space in the middle where "date" would ordinarily have been. Since this is only for age confirmation, this may be intentional.

2. But... on the next screen, where one is supposed to see an image that confirms you are not some kind of bot registering for the site, I saw no image -- there was a blank space where the image should have been, and right-clicking on that space gave me the following name for the image file:
I am using IE 6.0 on a computer running Windows XP.

xoxo

It's a server issue, not a IRC issue.
Out of curiosity, do you, IOWest and ImprovOlympic Chicago all share the same er....server?

I could not get on any of these sites during that time. I could go everywhere else.

Again, when you can't connect to the site at all it is a network issue or perhaps a server issue. If you cannot get to a number of sites, it's likely to be a network issue and I have no control network issues, nor would it have anything to do with the software that runs this message board.
