don't know if this is a bug or not, but:

on the the PM screen, I have this link

"You have 10 confirmed and 1 unconfirmed private message receipts."

I try to click it, but it says "Will Zone, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. "

Is this a bug? If not, why have the link there? thats the only thin i found that was odd thusfar...site looks good as always.

On the Advanced Search page, the menu for the different forums and a lot of the text is actually to the right of the boundary of the box that should contain it. (Not sure if that makes sense. I should just say the page is all f**ked up.) I'm viewing it from a Classic Mac, Internet Explorer 5.1.

Also, in some of the new drop-down menus, like "Rate This Thread" or the options when you click on someone's username, the menu window appears in hard-to-find places in the browser window, like all the way at the bottom of the page. This is true in both Classic and in OS 10.x for Macs.

I think the templates here are designed for the latest versions of browsers, they may not be fully compatible with IE 5.1 for the mac. I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm not sure if it's something I can fix.

reply/ unsubscribe options in 'subscribed threads' list

Not sure whether this is a bug or if maybe it's already being addressed...

But, from any of my 'subscribed threads' folders (with one exception that I will mention in a minute), the list of threads in my folders are missing three things that used to be present:

1) The option to reply/unsubscribe directly from the 'subscriptions' page.
2) The number of replies to the subscribed thread.
3) The number of views of the subscribed thread.

The exception to this is the list of New Subscribed Threads (or subscribed threads with new posts) that shows up when I first enter the CP. This list looks just like before, with reply/unsub options, the number of replies, and the views.

Since the New Sub Threads list is just as before, it leads me to believe the lists in the Subscribed Threads folders should also be able to have the same options as before.

Can this be done? This is how I always find (and reply to) the threads I'm interested in, and now that I have to go searching through the forums to find the specific thread I want, it's kind of a pain. Doable, but inefficient. Or, less efficient than before.

Sorry if you've addressed this somewhere else, I looked in the Questions about the IRC thread and the News thread and couldn't find any mention.

Thanks.

Seems like the formatting and such are ok on the Mac with Safari, Netscape, & Mozilla. There's a weird white border issue on IE 5.1 for Mac, though.

1) The option to reply/unsubscribe is still there when you go to the view all subscribed threads page. You will notice a checkbox at the end of each row with a word describing the kind of currect registration you have. You would check the box next to the subscription you want to modify/delete and then use the list box at the bottom of the table to change the setting for that thread.

2 and 3 are not bugs per se, so I doubt I will be able to find a "fix" for that at vbulletin. I may give it a look and see if there is anything I can add to the templates so that you can see replies and views again.

Okay, thank you for checking. Regarding (1), the solution you gave only solves the issue of unsubscribing/subscribing, not replying to a thread directly from the folder/list -- which was really my main reason for bringing it up.

Just to clarify, I'm talking specifically about the links that say "Reply/Unsubscribe" that used to appear directly under the thread title (and still do appear there for the 'New Subscribed Threads' list). The other format for replying was a "Reply" link that was positioned after the listing of page numbers following the thread title (at least in my subscribed folders).

I understand that's probably something in the design and not a bug, so thanks again for looking into it.

Ok, I see it now. It is a template issue, but it was designed to be like that. I don't know if I can easily modify the template to do what you want it to do.

It must just be me, but can you tell me how I can PM someone without going to the member list and finding them there? There used to be a button you could click while reading their journal, but now I can't find it...

Thanks!

Is the "business" skin still available? It was easier to surf the IRC at work when the screen was mostly black text on a white background.

Otherwise the update is working great for me. Thanks Mullaney!

Not too sure.

When I view the postings in IE5.5 at the office I see a white background with a default font color of black.

At home when I use Netscape (not sure of version) I see the dark background (black and blue?) with a default font of white.

If I select a different font color for a posting one of the browsers ends up with an unreadable font (too little contrast to read).

Is this a bug or cause I got tired old browsers?

I don't know why the server was busy.
it was very frustrating. I would get on, and then just trying to switch forums I'd get that "server is busy. Try again later" thing.
Or I'd try to post, and get that, after writing this whole thing....

But it's fine now!
