The Tribe: Two new member teams holding auditions on Sunday, April 30th, from 3-6 p.m.
Two new Tribe member teams, Bartlett High Presents and Flaming Awesome (working title) are collectively holding auditions to cast their groups.

The Tribe's Member Team program empowers artists to bring their visions to life, casting their own troupes and choosing their directors with the support and guidance of The Tribe. Member troupes are self-sufficient, artist-driven teams. Our goal is to create an environment that fosters new cutting-edge shows, eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike.

The Teams are:
Flaming Awesome (Working title): A professional short form improv troop that focuses more on applying the game to the scene rather than the scene to the game. Focus will be on high-energy performances and audience participation, along with clear concise fronting of each game. Performers will be expected to put more than a casual amount of time and energy into the production, it should be a priority to each member. The show will lend itself to a high-energy format. The troop will have a standard theme song they will be introduced to every week. A member will welcome the audience and introduce the first game. Each game will be called with the blow of a whistle or a simple "scene," lights will go out/flash and high energy music will play for approximately 20 seconds, a whistle will blow (or director will cut lights and music) and the next presenter will front the next game. The idea is to feel like the show is engaging and rapidly moving while keeping the audience pumped up like they are at a rock concert.

Bartlett High School Presents: Bartlett High Presents is a character-based long form improv show dealing with the relationships created in a high school theater group. The characters created will be based around familiar stereotypes, and with the addition of a weekly guest character will drive an organic, progressive plotline. Edits will be seamless, allowing room for characters to give brief monologues, clearly establishing each character's point of view. Every performance will be centered around a pre-determined theater genre, which the cast will use as motivation for the scenes.
Possible themes include: Drama, Comedy, Improv, Children's theater, Shakespeare, Musicals, etc.

A show focusing on high school theater hits a common thread among performers and puts the audience back into an experience that most recall with passionate memories.
