Come See Why He Quit TV News!

Former Weekend Anchor at News 12 Long Island Performs One-Man Comedy Show

He spent 10 years working as an anchor and reporter at different TV stations around the country. He won several Emmys for his work. He was on track to land a high-profile job making lots of money.

Then he threw it all away.

Bob Wiltfong was working as a weekend anchor/reporter at News 12 Long Island in March of 2002 when he suddenly quit his job. His resignation raised quite a few eyebrows amongst his co-workers, friends and family. All had the same question: “Why?”

On Wednesday, May 28th at 7pm Bob will answer that question during a special, sneak peek performance of his new one-man comedy show called “Anchor’s Away.” The show will take place at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Manhattan.

The UCB Theater is located at 307 W. 26th St. (near 8th Ave.). Please call (212)-366-9176 for reservations. Admission is $5/person; free for industry and media.
