Beyond Improdome Reunion?

The news has officially broken:

After JUNE 9TH, BEYOND IMPRODOME will be NO MORE.

It will be saddening to see the show go. Though IMPRODOME and NEW TEAM LUNACY will live on, truly Starr and Shawn will be missed from their late night stead.

I am wondering: so many of us came up through BI and IMP, and went on to our own successful endeavors, performance-wise. Many teams (too many to name) formed out of regular sets at BI.

I want to call upon all BEYOND IMPRODOME performers, past and present, to return for one last set on Monday night, June 9th at The PIT @ 11:00 p.m. Think of it as a reunion, as a way of telling Starr and Shawn "Thanks." for a place to perform on Monday nights.

Who's with me?

This is a shame.
I spent almost every night of the week for a whole year at improdome, beyond improdome, and new team lunacy.
Kape and Fat Penguin started there.

Sam and Ern got its start there as well!

But I thought it was merely changing hosts, not going to be nullified. It's still on the PIT calendar for the rest of the month!

Yes, at first we were only changing hosts. But then a decision was made by the PIT to discontinue the show. A sketch jam will replace the Monday 11pm slot at some point in the future.

So with all that Shawn and I decided to just do two more shows instead of trying to hold out until the anniversary week (July 7).

So, we'll focus all anniversary energies with Chris and the Wednesday show.

A shout-out needs to go to the two folks that started it all: Mark Grenier and Diana DePasquale. Without them, there would be no us. I personally thank them for choosing Shawn and I as hosts.

Long live Beyond Improdome.

Kennedy's Headshot, September 2006:

I barely knew those guys. It was a complete fluke that I was up there and unbelievable that I had anything to do with us winning.

I keep in touch with Jarret but have no idea what happened to the other guy.

Beyond Improdome gave me a home when I wasn't on an indie team.
It was such a great opportunity to improve your skills, to perform in front of an audience, and to simply jam out among friends. Fun times!
Thank you, Starr and Shawn.

We're accepting drawings of your favorite Improdome moments for a scrapbook.
They must be on a napkin and they must be nothing more than rudimentary stick figures accompanied by a short, written description.

Cheers!

"Have At It," which is myself, Emily Bryan, and some other guy, will
be there to defend our title. There's a certain pride in being even the penultimate champions of Improdome.

Thanks, Matt for starting this thread.

And we're serious about the napkin drawings.
So far, submissions: a big fat ZERO
