A lot of improvisers are scared to take "real" (those quotes are sarcastic) acting classes because they feel that improv or comedy is an inferior art form in comparison. I say Phooey! Acting is acting is acting! Working on your craft on every level will only make you a better performer.

Award Winning Director John Osborne Hughes brings revolutionary acting course ‘The Spiritual Psychology of Acting’ to the United States.
This fall, acting students in the USA have the rare opportunity to attend revolutionary acting course ‘The Spiritual Psychology of Acting’ (SPA). Taught by award winning British director John Osborne Hughes, the 3-day workshops will be held in both Los Angeles and New York.
SPA is a unique fusion of psychology, creative visualization, Stanislavski’s method, stage craft, practical exercises, meditation and spiritual knowledge. The core of the system is that if an actor can understand the psychological process which created their own character, they can harness that knowledge and allow it to create any character at will.
These workshops allow American actors to finally have access to the ground-breaking techniques that have been so successful in the UK for over the past 8 years. Former students have gone on to work in all medias including Hollywood blockbusters, Network Prime-Time Television, Broadway, London’s West End and scores of commercials.
