Beard Papa opened their downtown store TODAY across from NYU - Tisch (Astor Pl and Broadway). Don't be a dope! Seriously, go and get some. If there's a line when you get there, they bring out free samples.

First 100 people each day get a free thermos with a pipe-smoking old man saying "Let's go on a picnic!" on it.

The box offers this reason for enjoying the cream puffs made at said establishment:

"Beard papa pursues hand freshness and deliciousnes and particular about the ma and addition thing such as an antiseptic never uses for health.

Shop original puff shell is surrounded by a little luxurious crispy pie and a feeling of appetite is new type."

Shoo-ku-reem-u.

That's how Beard Papa employees pronounce "choux cream."
Adorable.
Delicious.
I'm hungry.

So good!

You will not believe it! Also, the guy in charge of giving you the puffs will check your ticket, squeal with delight, say "OK!" and then when your order comes up he will give you the box and say "BYE BYE!!!" With the most cheerful voice ever. It made me so happy.

Very, very tasty. Dyna brought some for the Girl Crush gang on Friday before the show. I had one. So good. Then, Klausner and Gelman each had a bite of one. Julie said I could have what was left, but that if I couldn't finish it, she would. I told her that it wouldn't be a problem.

It was no problem.

I might make a special trip for some tomorrow.

Delicious. And hearing the whole staff do simultaneous call-and-answer routines in that cutesy/bored/cheery/official voice ("[Something I didn't catch] gozaimasu!!!") made me natsukashi for my Tokyo days.

You know what surprised me? How light they are. I thought it would sit in my stomach like a stone, but I could have eaten two or three, really.
