I've been a user of Backstage's print version. I like being able to see things, and I can get through casting notices really fast a result.

I'm wondering about the value of Backstage's online version. Do you find it better than print? More affordable? What are its benefits? Do you find out casting notices earlier than in print?

You may be able to influence me to go online. I just want to hear if it's beneficial for me.

Thanks in advance.

i dont like the online because you dont get a hard copy to carry with you...i really only use backstage as a reference for what auditions are going on....i am equity though, so it is maybe a by product of that for me. but i find that having the online version was annoying cause it was harder to go through than the paper version....i usually dont get around to submitting for stuff until friday or saturday though...which could be bad, but it is preference of mine to have the paper to carry with me at all times and reference for when and where EPA's are mostly.

I prefer online. since most non union stuff you have to submit to. So you have your headshots and resume all set up and just submit in a click and then you have audition times emailed to you if you fit the bill. If i were equity though i would just use the print version...

Me too. Thanks, timmybono. I figured going through them online was tough. I also figured if, say you get cast and go out of town. If you've subscribed online, you're stuck with payments for something you don't use. If you do paper, you just pick it up when you want it.
