AUDITIONS FOR "A VERY SPECIAL SKETCH SHOW" (NYC)

#1
A Very Special Sketch Show, which will be a part of this year's New York International Fringe Festival, is looking for a few very special performers ...

ACTRESS (30's): To play a WASPy mother and a precocious daughter.

STAND-UP COMEDIAN (male or female, any age): To portray a hacky crowd-warmer between sketches and a sexually molested little girl.

Our show, which enjoyed a nearly-sold-out run at Collective Unconscious in March, satirizes the "very special episodes" of '80s sitcoms. We've written four original sitcoms, complete with filmed opening credits and theme songs. The show is presented as a live television taping before a studio audience. We will not find out the dates until early next month, but they will be sometime between August 8th and 24th.

Due to scheduling conflicts, we have to recast some of the amazing performers that made our last run so very, very special. We're still waiting to hear from the rest of our actors; there may be more roles to recast in the near future.

If you are interested, please send a PM to this account with your name, email address, experience, and a link to a headshot or picture, if you have one. PLEASE ONLY RESPOND IF YOU COULD REASONABLY PORTRAY THESE ROLES!

Thanks!

Hey Standups, get off your ass and talk to us!

Seriously, when's the next time you will be *showcased* not have to "bring" to the show, and will perform in front of possibly hundreds of audience members, media and possible talent spotters?
