[Atlanta] ATL Improv Fest

ATL Improv Fest

Did anybody on here make it to the Atlanta Improv Fest? I haven't been able to see as many groups as I'd like, but I've enjoyed what I've seen. Saw BassProv tonight. I was skeptical at first about the setup, but those guys are great, hilarious, and thought-provoking even. They lived up to all the kudos I've heard about 'em. Thoroughly enjoyable.
It's great to have the opportunity to see some out-of-town improv without having to travel more than a few miles. Hopefully this won't be the last improv fest in Atlanta.

Hey Pokey!

I'm down in Atlanta right now, performing with Madame Funnypants... If you get a chance, drop by and see our show at 8pm tonight (and say hello).

The shows, so far, have been great, the audiences awesome, and Dad's Garage is a RIDICULOUSLY nice theater. And the people are nice.

This place is awesome.

Yeah, Dad's is great. I'll try to make it tonight. My work schedule has messed with my ability to see many of the groups. I perform with the Comedy Response Unit Did you happen to catch us the first night of the fest?

Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came down and participated. I had a chance to see Oops Guys, MFP and Five Man Job. Dad's did a great job hosting. I'm happy that Atlanta audiences got to be exposed to a variety of styles. Kudos for spending your Memorial Day weekend down in Atlanta.

Saw Five Man Job then a second dose of BassProv last night. Both kicked ass. It was great to meet some improv and comedy folks from out of town and even some more improv and comedy folks from here in town. It's almost surreal that so many talented funny people could also be nice and friendly. Sorry I missed the other shows and the workshop from the BassProv guys. I heard some great things about 'em. (Damn, but I need to find a Thesaurus so I find another word that means "great".)

thanks

Yeah I had a great time at the Atlanta Improv Festival. Thanks to everybody at Dad's Garage for letting me perform and for putting together a very impressive festival. I had a blast.
