Like ocean custard marinated in sea wine. With a sprinkling of vinegar.

Honestly, I prefer my oysters happily cooked swimming in cream or crispy fried.

I'm assuming you mean raw oysters.

Close your eyes and swallow hard. With a sprinkling of vinegar. It's more of a sensation than a taste.

If you like oysters, the taste is everything. I recommend going to some place where you can try a bunch of different oysters...they're each as different as varietals of wine or complex cheeses. (Speaking of which, try the cheeses at Artisanal. They are amazing.)

Yes, the taste is definitely part of it, but it's more than that. I've tried a few times...it's more than the taste, it's definitely a sensation. Not necessarily a negative one. But it's not like you're chowing down on it like a steak. I still can't decide if I like raw oysters or not. An acquired taste, I'd say.

Artisanal is one of the most awesome places on earth! But that's another thread.

Quit arguing over if it's a taste or a sensation and get back to telling me about places with good oyster deals!

Thank you,
 Me

PS: There's a world of difference in taste. :slurp:

GDW, Jefe and I have decided we are going to drag you to 5 Points and making you eat $1 oysters til you see, er, taste, the light.

Fried oysters taste like god cooked them. Raw oysters...they're not in your mouth long enough for you to really enjoy them.

I just had a .39 cent clam at Mckenna's,
it's out on the corner of Jog road and Maleluca. Oysters are 8.99 a dozen they taste thick. The shimps is cheaps to.

In West Palm Beach suckas.
Go Fins.
Go Heat.

I will gladly take you both up on that, as long as they are of reputable quality. I will taste many oysters and report back.

Your use of the "slurpy" smilie disturbs me greatly, for some reason. :nervous:

Can I keep my eyes closed? Can I drink beer first? Will you be gentle and kind?
