Anyone want a Schwinn Breeze frame?

#1
My street bike has been stripped bare. First just the handlebars were gone, then they took the seat and pedals! Does anyone want the frame and wheels?

It's a blue Schwinn Breeze, 1 gear, coaster breaks, girl style.

What monster would do this? My suspicion is the monster who sells all the street bikes on my block of Bedford. It's not a collector's bike, the parts would have no resale value. The seat and pedals weren't even original! It was parked right next to expensive bikes, with valuable parts, in high traffic area. (in fact, I can see it from my window!) It looks like a plot to get me to abandon it, which then "someone" could put back together and sell!

I was actually riding it quite a bit over the past year, but can't find motivation past my heartbreak to rebuild it, especially when it is likely to happen again. The IRC's own Kevin Mullaney let me toss it in his U-Haul to bring it from Chicago many years ago. Oh, the dreams we had in our youth!

Anyway, thought perhaps one of you would be like, oh cool, i love fixing up bikes! I'm going to put a banana seat on it, lowrider handlebars with streamers and pinwheels, grow a beard and proudly ride my girlbike down Bedford Ave to the park to see TV on the Radio this summer.

Also I wanted to bitch about the monster, whoever it is.

*sniff*

Well, even I thought I was being a bit paranoid, but my sherlocking was correct. The bike guy on bedford routinely strips parts off of the parked bikes. I heard tell of people who found their frames and parts for sale as separate bikes and then demanded and got both back.

I write this to say:
---Don't buy from the guy who sells bikes on Bedford.
---If you park around there, paint or etch your handbars, fork, seat, with some identifier. Then, if a part goes missing, it won't go far and you can ask for it back if you see it on someone else's bike.
---Go to Pete's bikes, on Lorimer, just E of the BQE, skillman and jackson. He has a bunch of great street bikes and parts and put mine back together for very cheap.
--The day after I wrote the above post I saw a bearded guy riding a bike that was like 7 feet up in the air. Reality is more ridiculous than my imagination.

I saw the bearded guy on the seven foot bike a few nights ago
