The Annoyance Training Center Summer Session 2001
Vulture Joe Bill
This class explores new concepts and ideas in improv and the concepts of the "Annoyance" style. Heavy on personal attention and challenge, the advanced class will push your improvisation to a new level. You must have completed the Lemur level prior to taking this class.
8 WEEKS. Cost: $225.00
Meets: Mondays 6:30-9:00 p.m. Starting: June 4th
Red-Tailed Lemur Rebecca Sohn
or Banded Lemur Mark Sutton
This class specializes in getting you out of your head and making your improv more playful, physical and open. It also solidifies the concepts of the Annoyance style intro introduced in the Lion level, and helps put those new to our program on the same page before proceeding to higher levels. You must have either taken the Lion level or completed an approved program of improvisation prior to taking the Lemur.
8 Weeks. Cost: $205.00
Meets: Tuesdays 6:30-9:00 p.m. (Red-Tailed) or Thursdays 6:30-9:00 p.m. (Banded)
Starts: June 5th(Red-Tailed) or June 7th (Banded)
Lion Dan Izzo
Your first step into annoyance style improv, this class introduces you to our methods and ideas and makes you comfortable on stage. It focuses on environment, scene initiation, and character and is a introduction to Annoyance style improvisation. Unlike any other preliminary class you've ever had.
8 Weeks. Cost: $170.00
Meets: Mondays 6:30-9 p.m. Starts: June 4th
Okapi Mick Napier
ELECTIVE -- This class, taught by Mick Napier, the Artistic Director of the Annoyance Theater and winner of the Jeff award for his direction of the Second City's "Paradigm Lost", is designed for the experienced improviser. It focuses exclusively on personal attention with special emphasis on initiating scenes and sustaining the energy and commitment of characters within scenes. You must have completed the Lemur and Vulture classes to take this class.
6 Weeks. Cost: $225.00
Meets: Saturdays 12:00-2:00 Starts: June 16th
