COMMERCIAL AUDITION with Derrick Miller
Improvisational skills and opportunities are increasingly more prevalent in the commercial marketplace. In this workshop, we will hone the skills every actor needs to make your auditions unique to you and perfect for the director and client. We'll cover the slate, working with boards and how to navigate troublesome scene partners. Even the most seasoned commercial actor can learn from what happens behind the camera! You will leave this class with the confidence to deliver in the room...at the call back...and on set. Class will also include discussions on headshots and 'type'.
Two Saturdays: April 4 and 11 from 11am to 3pm
$95 per person
CHARACTER MONOLOGUE with Josh Funk
This four day workshop focuses on creating original characters through collaborative improvisation and honing them into solo performances. Le arn how to conceive of a character, specify that character's individual point of view and develop it into a fully realized personality. If you've ever been to an audition where the casting director asks to see examples of your original characters, this workshop will help you create your arsenal of options.
Thursdays April 9th-30th. 7-10pm.
