50 floors up - the wind is freaking me out!

You know that Citibank building in Long Island City? Well, because I didn't get a Verizon commercial that I'd be shooting today (the stylist even called me for my sizes, by mistake, nice), I'm in it on the 50th floor. It's not that high a building, but we're definitely swaying and the water in my water bottle is shaking and I'm trying to tune out the sounds of the movement.

I just needed to post that......... :nervous:

on 50th between broadway and 8th a newspaper seller left his stacks of Daily News unattended. . .pages were blowing all over the place like a sequel to Amercian Beauty

My hat (knit cap, not some straw boater, mind you) was plucked off my head and deposited on a 5-story roof.

I remember being on the 96th floor of the Trade Center during a hurricane. There was some sweet swaying during that sucker. You could see the water in the toilets move around too.

Have you noticed that there have been some kick ass sunsets and light displays lately? I've been pausing @ 5:30 just to look outside from my 37th floor office in midtown with a slight view of the Hudson.

It's probably just the time change, but man, it's been lovely.

Yeah, it's been insanely beautiful! The only good thing about temping in a large corporation is the view, especially this time of year. It's unreal sometimes, how the light from the sunset streams into the office through the windows. The color is beautiful. Last night it looked like the clouds were glowing.

I'm going to compose a poem now.

The swiftness of the clouds through the stunningly beautiful blue gave me joy and pause.

The joy was - beauty still exsists we just have to take the time to look around
The pause was - what am I fucking doing with my life?

Currently, it looks like a lovely ladies eye make up. A purple, pink and mauve layer with grey on top. It sounds Boy George-ish, but is really just perfect.
