Gee, Chris, You sure have been sweetly plugging a lot of other people's shows and birthdays this morning! Isn't there anything you'd like to plug for your own self?

Why, yes!

In 48 hours this weekend, I helped Eric Johnson, Tom Blake, Nina Covalesky, Boris Kievsky, this girl named Danielle (I’m sorry, Danielle, from Dannah Feinglass’s Level 2, but everyone who knows your last name is asleep!), Jennifer Xander, Lisa Tholin, Rachelle Christensen, Dave Johnson, Andy Parsons and Dewitt Davis make a film. The film is called “Solarium of God” and it screens tonight only, at 7:00 and 9:30, at NY Anthology Film Archives at 32 Second Avenue at 2nd Street.

It was a blast and something we’re all proud of.

Of 24 teams who made films this weekend, twelve are showing tonight and twelve tomorrow night. No film is over ten minutes long. Tickets go on sale for tonight’s shows at 6:30 for $8.00 (half price with student ID).

I know Tom, Danielle and I are not the only ones from the Improv community who got to do this this weekend. The good folks at Inkling Productions are all friends of yours as well. And who knows who else?

Please come and see what we wrought at the New York 2003 48 Hour Film Festival!

Come in person tonight and I'll tell you how great Variety Underground is going to be this week! I’ll tell you to go see Anthony King! I’ll tell you to go see Kromff and Respecto and the Documentary! I won’t shut up, I tell ya!

My dear friends,
In the words of Danielle Montezinos, who played Amber:

"My name is Danielle Montezinos and I played Amber.
Thanks, see you tonight."

Need I say more?

I cannot speak for others like Rainswept, Ute Gideon, Ian Roberts, and others, as they were on another, more differenter team.

ian and dyna were hilarious, as were the entire cast...and crew. i think dan winckler needs some hand shoes. what that means will only be known to those in attendance.

i'm looking forward to your film, chris. i heard you were going to shoot at the pit. hee hee. shoot at meaning filming, not actual shooting with weapons. i had to clarify due to your irc name. you're actually a sweet guy, despite your wackiness.

side note drama....

the vigilant round-the-clock watch on the black cat named pat who was stuck way up in a tree with a tall, branchless trunk was endearing.

nick mougis, head editor, knows me so well that when he told me about it, he grabbed me before i got to the window and said he'll be okay, he had already called the owner, who had posted about a lost cat who that had been lost for a few days already.

unfotunately, pat is probably still up there despite the wonderful efforts of the roosevelt island fire department. boo on you r.island police department for your insensitive comments to me about the cat..and by the way, you were wrong about the fire department, who actually stuck up for you when i told them what was said.

i feel better now.

Hooray for all the participants! I saw the 7pm showing last night, and was duly impressed. And how could you not love a piece featuring Chris Schneider as a morally-conflicted German scientist?

It was amazing to see what 12 crews could accomplish in 48 hours, and how they made such varied and imaginative use of what they were given. I was going to do something else last night, but I'm so glad I went to see the 48-hour film projects, and I hope to be involved next year.

I have to admit I most enjoyed (and was most impressed by) the one that was made completely solo (one man was the entire cast and crew, and even dubbed the voice of an opera-singing sandwich).
